Solo Spotlight: Burlesque Solo Essentials
Ready to step into the spotlight?
In this workshop style class we cover everything you need to know about becoming a professional and prepared solo performer. You will learn how to apply for shows, write a strong performer bio and act description, and properly complete application forms. We will also walk through the important behind the scenes elements that producers expect from performers, including music preparation, photo requirements, and how to complete tech sheets correctly. Students will gain practical knowledge about lighting choices, prop placement, music formats, and how to communicate clearly with producers and stage teams. We also cover professional etiquette for show day, how to prepare your costume and routine, and what to expect once you have been accepted into a show.
This class is perfect for performers who are ready to move from group routines into solo performance and want to feel confident navigating the burlesque industry.
You will leave with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to approach solo opportunities professionally and successfully.
